Charmo University was honored to receive a token of appreciation from the relatives of the victims and martyrs of Anfal Gencide Campaign. On the 4th of May, 2018, which is the anniversary of the vicious Anfal Genocide Campaign that took place in the villages near the flanks of Khalkhalan and Jalamord mountains, Charmo University was granted the token of appreciation as long as Charmo University strives to work on the Anfal Case. In that ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Baram Ahmed, the Vice President of Charmo University, gave a speech. In his speech, he stated: “In our perspective, as Charmo University staffs, working on Anfal Gencide Campaign is a national duty to be fulfilled, and academically it is a part of our ethics of profession. This belief enabled Charmo University to open the first and the biggest Genocide Research Center in Kurdistan.” In the end of his speech, Dr. Baram stated that this token of appreciation is of a great value for our academic institution. He also stated that Charmo University pledges to be keen on working on Anfal Case till the international community will recognize this case as genocide.
